With the approval of the National Immigration Administration, starting from today, the pilot scope of the electronic port visa has been expanded from the Lingang New Area of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone to the entire Pudong New Area. Foreigners who are invited by enterprises in Pudong New Area, Shanghai, and meet the conditions for port visa processing, can apply for electronic port visas of F (visit), M (trade), R (talent), Z (work), and S2 (private affairs) and enter from Shanghai port.

经国家移民管理局批准同意，自即日起，电子口岸签证试点范围由中国（海）自由贸易试验区临港新片区扩大至浦东新区全域。经上海浦东新区企业单位邀请来沪、符合办理口岸签证条件的外国人，可申办F字（访问）、M字（商贸）、R字（人才）、Z字（工作）和S2字（私人事务）电子口岸签证并自上海口岸入境。

It is understood that the electronic port visa can be processed entirely online. Enterprises that have been reviewed and filed can log in to the electronic government platform of the Exit and Entry Administration Bureau of the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau to submit visa application information on behalf of the applicant. After the electronic port visa is issued, the inviting unit can log in to the electronic government platform to download the PDF electronic file of the "People's Republic of China Electronic Port Visa Confirmation" and send it to the applicant. The applicant can download and save the "Confirmation" on electronic devices or print it out by themselves, and enter and stay with a passport and electronic visa.

据了解，电子口岸签证全程网上办理。经审核备案的企业单位，可登录上海市公安局出入境管理局电子政务平台，代申请人提交签证申请信息。待电子口岸签证签发后，邀请单位可登录电子政务平台代为下载《中华人民共和国电子口岸签证确认书》PDF电子文件并发送至申请人。申请人可将《确认书》下载保存在电子设备或自行打印，凭护照及电子签证入境、停留。

To further promote the electronic reform of port visas and enhance the efficiency and service level of our country's visa management, with the approval of the National Immigration Administration, the Exit and Entry Administration Bureau of the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau has been piloting the implementation of electronic port visas in the Lingang New Area of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone since July 12th. 为进一步推动口岸签证电子化改革，提升我国签证管理效能和服务水平，经国家移民管理局批准，上海市公安局出入境管理局自7月12日起在中国（上海）自由贸易试验区临港新片区试点实施电子口岸签证。政策实施以来，受到临港新片区企业单位和外籍员工的广泛欢迎，纷纷表示电子口岸签证制度大幅度提升了外籍人员来华便利化水平。

Wang Sheng, the head of the Port Visa Department of the Exit and Entry Administration Bureau of the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau, said, "On the basis of summarizing the experience from the previous pilot phase, we, in conjunction with the relevant departments of Pudong New Area, have actively prepared for the expansion of the pilot. We have introduced the policy to more than 300,000 eligible enterprises and handled the relevant procedures. This will further facilitate the mobility of foreign personnel in Pudong New Area and help the new district enhance the level of investment and trade liberalization."

上海市公安局出入境管理局口岸签证处王盛科长表示，“在总结前期试点经验的基础上，我们会同浦东新区相关部门积极做好试点扩大的各项准备工作，已向符合条件的30余万家企业单位进行了政策宣介并办理了相关手续。这将进一步促进浦东新区外籍人员流动便利化，助力新区提升投资和贸易自由化能级。”
