第15篇 《胜利的追寻》 — 语法精讲In a small town, there was a great excitement in the air. (在一个小镇上,空气中弥漫着巨大的兴奋感。)[语法]:“In a small town” 为地点状语,“there was” 为谓语,“a great excitement in the air” 为表语。(一般过去时)A swimming competition was about to take place, and teams from all over had gathered. (一场游泳比赛即将举行,来自各地的队伍都聚集在了一起。)[语法]:“A swimming competition” 为主语,“was about to take place” 为谓语;“teams” 为主语,“from all over” 为后置定语,“had gathered” 为谓语。(一般过去时)The athletes had been training hard for months, pouring all their energy into their preparations. (运动员们已经刻苦训练了几个月,将他们所有的精力都投入到准备中。)[语法]:“The athletes” 为主语,“had been training hard” 为谓语,“for months” 为时间状语,“pouring all their energy into their preparations” 为现在分词短语作伴随状语。(过去完成进行时)At a team meeting, the coach inspired them with words of courage. (在一次团队会议上,教练用充满勇气的话语激励着他们。)[语法]:“At a team meeting” 为地点状语,“the coach” 为主语,“inspired” 为谓语,“them” 为宾语,“with words of courage” 为方式状语。(一般过去时)"This is our chance to show the world what we're made of.
