Naji Marshall on why he was so emphatic about wanting to remain a Maverick: “I just love it here. I love the city. I love the fans. Everything we’ve been through, the fans still show up…Matt Riccardi, Michael Finley, they make me feel comfortable…Coach Kidd, the players, it’s just all a comfortable fit for me. I love the team, from the front office to the equipment managers, it don’t matter, everybody’s the same to me and everybody’s shown great love and I feel like we just one big family, so it’s just a blessing to be here and I’m just so thankful that those guys picked me up.”
