时间快进到2026年4月……他们计划在 2027 年 2 月之前关闭整个项目。为什么？“战略评估”+“调整产能以匹配我们的临床产品组合”=新冠疫苗销售彻底崩溃。现在没人排队接种加强针了。收入暴跌，亚洲的mRNA疫苗梦想正在悄然破灭。

就连默克公司也关闭了其在新加坡的一家工厂。后疫情时代的好日子正式结束了。

Remember when BioNTech (Pfizer’s mRNA partner) was hyping up their shiny new vaccine mega-plant in Singapore?

Back in 2022 they bought a massive facility in Tuas, bragging it would pump out hundreds of millions of doses a year. Singapore rolled out the red carpet, tax breaks and all.

Fast forward to April 2026…They’re shutting the whole thing down by February 2027.Why? “Strategic review” + “aligning capacity with our clinical portfolio” = COVID vaccine sales have completely collapsed. Nobody’s lining up for the boosters anymore. Revenue tanked, so the mRNA dream in Asia is getting quietly euthanised.

Even MSD (Merck) just closed one of their Singapore sites too. The post-pandemic party is officially over.

The people said “no thanks” with their wallets and their bodies.
