：《Natural Disaster Alert: Tibet Flooding Update August 30 》 On the evening of August 29, Chinese frontline monitoring drones detected a new landslide 2.8 kilometers downstream of the Purepuqiang Zangbu River barrier lake, forming a new barrier body and lake.  The Chinese Ministry of Emergency Management convened experts to assess the situation and subsequently relocated rescue personnel near Gyirong Port to another location due to safety concerns. In addition, officials have identified an area of concern further upstream: an impact crater formed during the initial landslide on the Chokya River in Nepal.  This crater creates a risk point for overflowing downstream into the barrier lakes and potentially causing additional flooding near the original disaster site; however, officials assess the current likelihood of the impact crater overflowing as low. Chinese authorities deployed emergency equipment to replace damaged monitoring stations in the area and continue active hydrological monitoring of both sites.  Additional rainfall is expected in the region through September 1, which could increase the risk of further landslides and flooding.
