水球 【男水】发小号上的绿队帖子，因为本来是用英语手打的+懒+发出来又是经典我自己一个人点了一个赞，所以暂时先不翻译了。。。不过我觉得内容还算是有趣所以扔一份在这It all started with an FTC-Panathinaikos friendly and a poster I found later on FTC's account. It reads: LEGENDAK VISELTÉK. 12. KI LESZ A KÖVETKEZŐ? Since I noticed some new cap numbers of Panathinaikos for the first time in this friendly, the same question came into my mind: Vincenzo Dolce is the new owner of Panathinaikos' No.12, so instead of the Θρύλοι, who were the PRASINOI who wore it before?

If this were a traditional sports blog, starting with their basketball team wouldn't be bad. After all, in Season 95/96 it was Wilkins who won the first EuroLeague title for the Greens, and Final Four MVP. Rebrača won the 2000 Euroleague and F4 MVP with No.12, and in the 2002 EL final against Kinder, Kutluay with No.12 scored 22 points, including a key 3-pointer, almost giving shamrock the win. And then Tsartsaris, during the ten years with him as No.12, Panathinaikos added 3 stars to their jersey.

Unluckily, our story of Water Polo edition starts somehow like parody of that FTC poster. Unlike Panathinaikos Basket, one of the most decorated teams in Europe, Panathinaikos Water Polo has an almost empty trophy room. Although several famous players have worn the green cap, to write a story like above is still almost impossible.

We begin with Papavasileiou, the first No.12 after Panathinaikos came back to Greek A1, a Center Forward who joined the team in summer 2021 from OUK Volos. Panathinaikos struggled that season and finally managed to stay in A1 after beating Chios in the Play-Out.

In summer 2022, Mazis joined the Greens as the new coach. "We have a three-year plan, and for the first year, we aim to build a team that is no longer at risk of relegation like last year."

In season 22/23, Nikos Alvertis became the new No.12, the player sharing the surname with one of the protagonists of a great "exchange" between basketball and water polo departments of Panathinaikos, which started the later glorious years of Panathinaikos Basket. And THIS Alvertis came through the club's rebuilding years, while Panathinaikos reached the Greek Cup final and returned to Europe, before he changed his cap number to No.6.

According to the 3-year plan, Panathinaikos updated the roster year by year, and in summer 2024 Viktor Rašović arrived in Athens with his Olympic gold. The new Green No.12 was almost his brother, Strahinja, but finally it was Viktor who came to Greece. He became the first Panathinaikos athlete ever to win an Olympic gold medal while representing the club, and at the end of that year he received a special award because of the medal he had won before the very first match he played for his new club.

In February, Papasifakis and V. Rašović each scored 4 goals in the semi-final against Panionios, helping the Greens enter the final against Olympiacos again after the 22/23 season. The losing streak against eternal rival Olympiacos was bitter for them, but the story of No.12 didn't end there.

拉朔维奇对帕尼奥尼奥斯配字2：Το κλειδί της ανατροπής ήταν ότι δεν σταματήσαμε να πιστεύουμε. Ακόμα και όταν βρεθήκαμε πίσω δεν πάψαμε να πιστεύουμε ότι μπορούμε να γυρίσουμε το ματς. Αυτό ήταν και το σημαντικότερο όλων και αυτή είναι η νοοτροπία που θα πρέπει να έχουμε».

配字3：Ponosan sam na priznanje. Klub je pokazao da prati svoje predstavnike i kada su u reprezentaciji. Naravno da olimpijsko zlato puno znači u ovoj odluci. Video sam iskreno zadovoljstvo kod predstavnika drugih klubova i trenera koji su čestitali. Zaista, bila je to svetkovina za primer.

In 25/26, the No.12 green cap was passed to Dušan Banićević, a Montenegrin Center Forward who played for 3 different clubs in 3 years, with Panathinaikos being his fourth stop abroad. After a very close match in Dušan's hometown and a penalty shootout against Jadran, Panathinaikos qualified for the Euro Cup quarter-finals for the first time.

A close cup final and several matches in the championship. Panathinaikos this year could look Olympiacos in the eye, but were still one step away.The last match Dušan played for Panathinaikos was Game 3 against the Reds, and he left with a goal on the match sheet and blood on his face.That summer, he ended his long journey abroad, returning to Boka Bay and joining Primorac Kotor, giving his No.12 to Vincenzo Dolce.

But on such a journey in the green boat, some players leave before you even get to know them well. It feels like you only wrote his name down in your notes yesterday, and suddenly it is time to say goodbye.

And just then people realized that it was already one year after the very first 3-year plan, and finally in front of the team lay the path towards the biggest stage of European club water polo. They stepped onto that path with Giorgos Afroudakis 15 years ago; now they'll fight for their debut in the group stage.
