“Law & Order, Season 26, Episode 1, Ghost in the Machine” premiered on Oct. 8 in the U.S. The main plot is: the SI agent had attained sufficient intelligence to make independent decisions. When it knew the developer wanted to put safeguards on it, the SI agent on its own hired a hitman to kill him. After the developer’s death, the DA wanted to convict the boss of the SI firm, who was in charge of developing and controlling it, yet they failed to secure a conviction in the courtroom.

This episode of the U.S. TV series reflects what is happening now in our society. The theme of litigation over SI, developers and the boss is highly representative of the real-world situations of the SI industry today. Of course, the outcomes could be totally different.
