"我在外面"不是！I'm outside。

我知道中文的"外面"是房(间)外或者是出门了。但是在英语里，"outside" either means to be external to or near a room，building or place。Outside指的是在房间、建筑或某个地方的外面或附近。Outside不能用来说出门办事，出门玩的那种。

比如在家，你刚给视频点了个赞，然后你问我："amantha去哪了？"我说：She's outside，那意思就是Samantha在阳台，Samantha在别墅的花园，Samantha在家门外(公寓楼)，Samantha在这栋楼外面(附近)。所以outside适合下面的情况用：I'm coming，我快到了。(不是那种coming，I'm just outside，我到门口了。)或者I'll wait for you outside，我在外头(门口附近)等你。Let's eat outside，我们在室外吃吧。

要注意！Eat outside是在室外吃饭的意思，不是下馆子去餐厅吃饭。比如弄个picnic(野餐)，Eat in your garden，或者坐在你的院子里吃饭，or a restaurant's outdoor space，或者在餐厅的外部露天的地方吃。在室外吃饭也叫al fresco，就是从意大利语来的。dbq意大利朋友们，下次还敢。

所以出门去餐厅吃饭应该是：Eat out，不是eatoutside，不需要加side。比如：Let's eat out tonight，我们今晚下馆子吧。所以要说他在外面办事，出门见朋友等等就是：Out。比如：She's out with her friends，她出门(在外面)和朋友玩。They are out working，他们在外面办事。He's out partying，他在外面野呢了(bushi)。
